Minister of Foreign Affairs Leads Somali Delegation at 49th AU Executive Council Session

Addis Ababa(SONNA)-The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, H.E. Abdisalam Abdi Ali, leads Somalia’s delegation at the 49th Ordinary Session of the Executive Council of the African Union, held under the theme Assuring Sustainable Water Availability.

During the session, Somalia will highlight its efforts to strengthen water security through initiatives including the Barwaaqo Water for Rural Resilience Project and two new solar powered boreholes that are expanding access to clean water. Somalia will also contribute to discussions on strengthening the African Union Commission and advancing the shared priorities and aspirations of the continent.
